“Youth Dialogue along the Belt and Road 2019 Summer School Lanzhou University- Taras Shevchenko National University of Kyiv” was held on 28thAugust, 2019. For the first day, students from our school introduced China's economy, culture and diplomacy and China-Ukraine relationships in the morning, and in the afternoon,Dr.Dmytro Yefremov gave a lecture entitled “Economic effects for Ukraine and China from Participating in the One Belt One Road Initiative ".
In the part of introducing China in morning, Luo Jin introduced the economic development of China and China–Ukraine relationship. Then, he showed to the audience in detail the development process of China's economy from planned economy to modern market economy.
Secondly, Su Liwenqing introduced Chinese culture from material and spiritual aspects. The Ukrainian students marveled at the wisdom and creativity of ancient Chinese ancestors.
Third, Zhang Junsu explained and introduced China's diplomacy. He mentioned that China's diplomacy was rooted in traditional culture and history of the China for thousands of years. To understand Chinese diplomacy, one must understand Chinese history and culture first.
Finally, Tang Ouyangming shared her views of China-Ukraine relation. She elaborated the development history of China-Ukraine, China-Ukraine exchanges and cooperation, China's diplomatic activities in Ukraine and One Belt One Road Initiative.
In the afternoon, the keynote speaker, Dr.Dmytro Yefremov described economic effects for Ukraine and China from participating in the One Belt and One Road Initiative at three levels: low, medium and high. He pointed out that operating costs of One Belt One Road Initiative affect the countries along the road directly.
