Professor Wang Jinguo, Dean of School of Politics and International Relations, was invited to participate in the Membership Representative Conference of the Good-Neighborly Friendship and Cooperation Committee of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization on February 25, 2019.

Good-Neighborly Friendship and Cooperation Committee of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization is a national, non-profit social organization formed by academic institutions, educational and cultural organizations and related parties who are committed to promoting friendly exchanges between the member states of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization, aiming to broaden the exchanges and cooperation channels among the SCO countries to contribute to promote peace and development in the Eurasian region.

During this conference, Institute for Central Asian Studies was awarded a member of the Good-Neighborly Friendship and Cooperation Committee of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization, and Professor Wang Jinguo was appointed as a member the Good-Neighborly Friendship and Cooperation Committee of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization.
