In the morning of May 6, 2019, Professor Han Wei, Deputy Director of the International Center for Higher Education Innovation under the auspices of UNESCO, and her party visited our school. Professor Wang Jinguo, Dean of the School of Politics and International Relations, and Professor Yang Shu, Director of Institute for Central Asian Studies, Professor Zeng Xianghong, Deputy Dean of the School of Politics and International Relations, Associate Professor Jiao Yiqiang and Dr. Cao Wei attended the symposium. The symposium was chaired by Professor Wang Jinguo.
During the discussion, Wang Jinguo, on behalf of the school, warmly welcomed the arrival of Director Han Wei and her delegation. Professor Yang Shu, on behalf of the Institute for Central Asian Studies, introduced in details of the development of higher education in Central Asian countries and the progress of educational cooperation between China and Central Asian countries. Director Han then briefly introduced the International Centre for Higher Education Innovation under the auspices of UNESCO. During the meeting, both parties also discuss the possibilities of establishing a pilot higher education innovation center in Central Asia and exchanged views on this issue in depth. Finally, the two sides discussed the future cooperation in related matters.
