At the invitation of the School of Politics and International Relations of Lanzhou University, Ambassador Luo linquan, the vice-president of China Public Diplomacy Association and Former Consul General of the People's Republic of China in San Francisco, U.S.A., visited Lanzhou university from June 15 to June 17, 2019. On June 15, Yan Chunhua, the President of Lanzhou University, met with Ambassador Luo Linquan.

President Yan extended a warm welcome to Ambassador Luo Linquan for his visit. He introduced the discipline, faculty and talent training of Lanzhou University. The school of Politics and International Relations is the youngest school in Lanzhou University, with a solid foundation and outstanding advantages in Central Asian studies, "One Belt And One Road" studies and western China security studies. During his visit to Lanzhou University, Ambassador Luo was deeply touched by the hardworking and practical spirit of the faculty and students of Lanzhou University, and he expressed his willing to provide support for talent cultivation and internationalization promotion of Lanzhou University. In his lecture, Ambassador Luo introduced the situation of various countries and regions in the world. He mentioned that there were no trivial matters in diplomatic affairs.

Ambassador Luo's lecture was full of details and humorous. During the lecture, he applauded and encouraged the students to study hard and make contributions to China's foreign affairs. The lecture made students have a deeper understanding of the mission of Chinese diplomats and strengthened the faith of those students who are interested in diplomatic career.
