On June 28, 2019, Professor Wang Jinguo, dean of our school and Professor Li Jie, visited Peking University and held the first preparatory meeting for the 11th International Forum on East Asian Studies with Peking University and Osaka University of Economics and Law.

The 11th International Forum on East Asian Studies will be held in Lanzhou University in August 2020, with the theme of "Connecting East and West: Exploration of Asian Cooperation and Development Path". As the organizer, Professor Wang Jinguo introduced the history and development of Lanzhou University and the School of Politics and International Relations. He mentioned that the School of Politics and International Relations of Lanzhou University was characterized by studies in Central Asia and had made plenty of achievement in international relations theories, Shanghai Cooperation Organization studies, South Asian studies and anti-terrorism and anti-separatism studies.

Professor Wang Jinguo presented his own calligraphy works to Peking University and Osaka University of Economics and Law as a present at the end of the meeting. He has full confidence that the forum will be completed in success with the support of Peking University and Osaka University of Economics and Law.
