On September 22, our school organized the 2022 orientation meeting in Yuzhong Campus. Yao Zhihai, Secretary of the Party Committee of our school, Professor Chen Xiaoding, Professor Zeng Xianghong, Professor Wang Sihai, Associate Professor Cao Wei, Associate Professor Xiao Han, Associate Professor Li Yibin, Associate Professor Chen Yiyi, Dr. Luo Yixuan, Dr. Ning Yu, Dr. Mi Pengju, Dr. Wang Shusen, Dr. Li Ze, Dr. Sang Pu, Teaching Secretary Wang Wanjun, Graduate Counselor Lei huanrui, Undergraduate Counselor Tian Ge, and all 2020 students attended the meeting. The meeting was presided over by Jia Haiyan, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee.

The orientation started with the school song. After that, Mr. Yao Zhihai read the notice of class head teacher and student deputy head class teacher of class 2022.

After that, the teachers made speeches. Firstly, Professor Chen Xiaoding gave a speech on “Why are We Here?”, which state the meaning of studying and the beauty of our university. Prof. Chen hoped that students can explore their strengths and pursue their ambitions.

Then Professor Zeng Xianghong made a speech on his expectations to everyone. He hoped that students can found their advantages, enjoyed different activities and had a good relationship with others. Meanwhile, students should set goals for their study and keep improving themselves.

Dr. Li Liang, classⅠhead teacher of graduate 2022, gave her warmly welcome for all students. And proposed that students should learn from others, enjoy nature, and develop their scheme.

And Dr. Liang Zhenpeng, the classⅡ head teacher of undergraduate 2022, talked about being a qualified student, and she hoped that students can appreciate everyday and every opportunity.

Next, students representatives made speeches. Jiang Hui, the representative of 2022 graduate students, shared his experience in studying professional expertise and hoped that everyone can use time wisely. Wang Di and Li Xiaofeng, the representatives of 2022 undergraduate students, shared their stories and feelings of being a student of our school, and their expectations towards tomorrow.

“Q&A about the history of our school” activity was followed, and the winner got textbooks as prize.

At the end, Mr. Jia Haiyan made a summary of the meeting. He hoped students can struggle for their dreams, and be aware of scams.

As the world is undergoing changes unseen in a century, we students should keep our responsibilities and goals in mind. Being aspirant to achieve our dreams and lead valued lives.
